As a transplant to the area, I might not be a born and raised Midwesterner, but no other place felt like home more quickly than Nebraska. I started my journey to teaching yoga in 2009 when I was stationed in Seattle, WA with the Coast Guard. I stumbled into a Hot Yoga studio in Capitol Hill called “The SweatBox” and it only took one class before I was hooked. Something about my muscles made more malleable from the heat paired with the deep stretches and meditative quality of the class; I left feeling like I was floating. I now jokingly refer to hot yoga as my gateway yoga and it led to me finding so many different styles over the years. It wasn’t long before I knew that I wanted to teach someday. Fifteen years, a couple of moves, and a couple of kids later, I am excited that life has brought me to this moment. I am excited to bring yoga to this incredible community. I hope to see you on the mat!
